Acmonan belongs to the barangays of Municipality Tupi which are in the outlying area.
The municipality Tupi with a population of about 57,779 and its 15 barangays belong to the partly urban areas in the Philippines. While some of the barangays developed modern urban structures, some others, especially those which are seated in the outlying areas, remained rural.By the end of 2007 Acmonan had 4,132 residents.

Garden
Sarangani Highlands takes pride of its beautiful landscaping and the multitude of plants and flowers that grow in the garden.
It is a place where nature is enhanced, not changed, where guests are closer to nature and enjoying it without disturbing it.
The ambiance of Sarangani Highlands comes from the lush plants and the rustic structures.
For people who come to Sarangani Highlands for the first time- well, even for our repeat guests, most of them say “Wow!”.

Magellan's Cross
Magellan's Cross is a Christian cross planted by Portuguese, and Spanish explorers as ordered by Ferdinand Magellan upon arriving in Cebu in the Philippines on (depending on source) April 14 or 21, 1521.
This cross is housed in a chapel next to the Basilica Minore del Santo Niño on Magallanes Street (Magallanes being the Spanish name of Magellan), just in front of the city center ofCebu City. A sign below the cross describes the original cross is encased inside the wooden cross that is found in the center of the chapel. This is to protect the original cross from people who chipped away parts of the cross for souvenir purposes or in the belief that the cross possesses miraculous powers. Some people, however, believe that the original cross had been destroyed or had disappeared after Magellan's death, and the cross is a replica that was planted there by the Spaniards after they successfully colonized the Philippines.

THE RUINS
Wealthy sugar baron Don Mariano Ledesma Lacson built the mansion in 1900′s for Maria Braga, his portuguese wife. He made sure that the mansion was furnished with imported luxurious items. The Mansion’s structure resembles that of the italian architecture with neoclassical columns. The facades of the mansion is comparable to the ones in Carnegie Hall. The belvedere facing west enables one to view the beautiful sunset through the bay window. The garden of the mansion was tended by Don Mariano’s daughter Angelina. Imported lilies filled the garden and around the fountain. A japanese gardener was hired to maintain the gardens until he disappeared just before the war. It was found out later on that the gardener they hired was an informant to the Japanese Military. When the world war 2 broke out, the guerillas burned down the mansion to prevent the Japanese from occupying the area. The mansion burned down leaving behind the concrete structure that still stands to this day. There’s no current plans of getting the ruins restored back to its glorious form. For now there’s a mini cafe and restaurant to chill inside the ruins. Guests can amuse themselves with a quick game of golf in the mini golf area.
